Paschal Lamb

This paschal lamb statue- a lamb sacrificed during Passover, once sat on the pedestal of the main altar in the original St. Joseph Cathedral.

St. Francis of Assisi

Date: Circa 1950s

One of the last statues carved by Rudolph Blatter, Sr. of the E. Hackner Co. This statue originally stood in the lobby of the St. Francis School of Nursing.

Swiss immigrant Rudolph was an expert wood carver who studied at the Brienz Carving School in Switzerland. For many years, he headed the sculpture department of the E. Hackner Co.
